How to burn Candles with Crystals

I have been asked this a few times now so I thought I should give you all the tips and tricks I use to burn Candles with Crystals.

They look so great and it makes you not want to burn them and when you do you would like to keep the aesthetic appearance as much as possible.

Yes, I hear you and I have covered it all here!

  • As some of my Crystal Candles are long and curly the best thing to do first is to trim your wick to 5mm (half a centimetre).
  • Light your Wicks.
  • Ensure that you get an even burn by ensuring that the wax melts to the outer edge as much as possible. This may take up to 3 hours to achieve. You may find that the area which hold the Crystals may still be intact.
  • The Crystals will be safe in the wax as they sink to the bottom, unlike botanicals which are light and in my opinion unsafe in a candle, as they often float to the centre and catch light.
  • After you have blown out your Candle, get a toothpick or a skewer and push the Crystals to the edge of the jar or bowl that it's held in, in a pattern that is pleasing to you. If may find that you need to come back to the candle after a half hour or so, it order for you manipulate the crystal from the wax.
  • When the wax sets over the next few hours, you will find that the Crystals will sit on the top, as long as you have moved them during the setting process above.

Once you have burned your Candle down, you may just want to remove the Crystals in the Candle and use them for decorating and styling around your home.

Simply just wash them in warm water.

You may want to at this stage, cleanse your crystals as they have been busy, keeping your environment calm, bring you into balance and vibrating away. Here are some methods, to do this, pick which one works for you.

  • Salt Water Bath
  • Smudging (one of my favourites)
  • Sunlight
  • Sound (singing bowls)
  • Selenite Charging Plate
  • Full Moon
